Who we are

This website is run by EviSafe B.V., Fluwelen Burgwal 58, 2511 CJ Den Haag, the Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce/KvK 92092594). EviSafe is the controller for the personal data processed through this website, as meant in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

You can reach us at info@evisafe.nl.

This website and the EviSafe app

This policy only covers the website evisafe.nl. The EviSafe app and the EviSafe platform have their own privacy policy, which explains how data in the app (such as evidence, recordings and emergency contacts) is protected. You can read it here: EviSafe app privacy policy.

Visiting this website

You can visit this website without telling us who you are. We do not use advertising networks, social media plugins or other trackers, and we do not build visitor profiles.

To see how this website is used, we use Umami, a privacy-friendly statistics tool. Umami does not place cookies, does not store your IP address and does not follow you across other websites. We only see totals, such as the number of visits per page, the website you came from, your type of device and browser, and your country. If you have turned on “Do Not Track” in your browser, your visit is not counted. Umami runs on a server in Germany that Nehlee manages for us. Nehlee processes this data on our behalf, under a data processing agreement (our legitimate interest in improving the website).

Like every website, our web server automatically records some technical data when a page is requested, such as your IP address, the time of the visit, the page requested and your browser type. We use these server logs only to keep the website secure and working properly (our legitimate interest). They are not combined with other data and are deleted automatically after a short period.

The videos on this website are delivered by bunny.net (BunnyWay d.o.o., Slovenia), a European content delivery network. To send a video to your browser, bunny.net briefly processes your IP address (our legitimate interest in showing the video). bunny.net does not store your IP address: its technical logs contain no IP addresses and are deleted after at most three days. The videos are stored in Germany and delivered from servers in Europe. bunny.net processes this data on our behalf, under a data processing agreement, and does not place cookies.

Cookies

This website does not place tracking, analytics or advertising cookies. We only use technically necessary functionality, which is why you do not see a cookie banner.

If we ever add cookies or tools that require your consent, we will ask for your permission first and update this policy.

Your safety while browsing

Your browser may keep a record of the websites you visit. If you are worried that someone checks your device:

  • use a private or incognito window;
  • clear your browsing history after your visit;
  • use the Quick Exit button at the bottom of every page, or press the Esc key twice, to leave this website immediately.

If you are in immediate danger, call 112.

When you contact us

When you email or call us, or use a contact or request form, we receive the data you share with us — such as your name, email address, phone number, organization and your message. We use this data only to answer your question or request, for example a demo for your municipality. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering your message, or taking steps at your request before entering into an agreement.

The contact form on this website sends your message as an email to info@evisafe.nl through Activepieces, an automation service that Nehlee runs for us on a server in Germany. The form does not save your message on the website or in a database. Your message remains in that service’s technical logs for no more than 30 days and is then deleted automatically. To stop spam, the form only checks whether it was filled in automatically; we do not use third-party services such as reCAPTCHA for this.

Please do not send us sensitive details about your situation through the website. If you need help, the EviSafe app offers secure ways to document what is happening.

We keep your messages no longer than needed to handle your question, and in principle no longer than two years after our last contact.

Who we share data with

We never sell your personal data. We only share data with parties that help us run this website and our services, such as our hosting provider, the network that delivers our videos (bunny.net), Nehlee (management of the website, statistics and the contact form), our email provider and our payment provider. These parties process data on our behalf, under a data processing agreement, and may not use it for their own purposes. We share data with authorities only when the law requires us to.

We prefer providers within the European Economic Area (EEA). If data is transferred outside the EEA, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

Security

We protect personal data with appropriate technical and organizational measures, including an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, up-to-date software and access limited to the people who need it. No system is completely secure, but we continuously work to keep your data safe.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive your data in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

To use your rights, email us at info@evisafe.nl. We will respond within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity, so we do not share your data with someone else.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, please let us know. You also have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy, for example when we add new features to the website. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed. For important changes, we will make this clear on the website.
